Q. How fast is Wireless Data?
A. When you use Wireless Data solutions on the 1X network, you can send and receive data at speeds of up to 163 kbps+ — that's up to 5 times faster than circuit-based data transmission. Actual speeds will vary depending on application, geographic location, available technology, and time of day.
Q. What does "always-on" connectivity mean?
A. "Always-on" connectivity means you stay connected to the network even when you are not sending or receiving data. Your connection will become a virtual connection, freeing resources so you can receive voice calls or text messages on your mobile phone.
When information is sent to you, or you are ready to begin transferring data again, the connection will automatically carry on, as if there was no service interruption. No need to dial up again. No waiting.
